Coenonympha amaryllis (Stoll, 1782)
Type locality: "...de la Siberie"
Range: The S. Urals, the Altai Mts., W. and E. Siberia (up to Yakutia and the Magadan region in the north), Transbaikalia, the Amur and Ussuri regions, China, Mongolia, Korea
Habitat: A typical species of lowland and mountain meadows and steppe habitats; in the east of its range, C. amaryllis is found also in sparse larch forests and moorlands. In the mountains, it often occurs in tundra and alpine meadows, reaching up to 1,500-1,700 m a.s.l., i.e. higher than the upper forest line in the subalpine belt.
