Hipparchia fagi (Scopoli, 1763)
Type locality: Krain, Yugoslavia
Range: North Spain, Central, South & East France, Central Germany, South Poland, Italy (including Sicily) to Balkans and South Greece and Levkas.
Habitat: Bushy, grassy woodland clearings and margins of pine forests.
Flight Period: June to mid-September
