Hipparchia statilinus (Hufnagel, 1766)

Type locality: District of Berlin

Range: From Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, to Portugal across S. Europe, the S. European part and the lower Volga area to the Caucasus and Transcaucasia.

Habitat: Dry stony slopes and steppe habitats between 900-2,500mtrs in North Africa and from sea level up to 1,400mtrs throughout the rest of its distribution.

Flight Period: Late June to October (peak emergence late July to early August)

Subspecies:
