Type locality: Lower Volga flow, S.Russia
Range: from Bulgaria*, Romania, FYROM, Greece to Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran and South Russia.
Habitat: The species is found along the edge of forest clearings and fond of resting on the leaves and tree trunks between sea level up to 1,250 mtrs.
Flight Period: end June to early August.
*Kremena village (Essayan & Yugan 1993), near Kyustendil (coll. R. Essayan, personal communication, in Kolev 2004); Slivenska Stara Planina, Gorna Banya suburb of Sofia, and Baltchik (the last needs confirmation) (Kolev 2004).
