Type locality: Boz Dagh, Izmir, Turkey

Range: Turkey, Asia Minor

Habitat: Dry, rocky slopes from 900 to 2,200mtrs

Flight Period: June to September

Subspecies:

ssp. aurora Eckweiler & Rose, 1989 - Antalya, Burdur, Denizli, Isparta, Muğla - Turkey;

ssp. lydia (Staudinger, 1878) - Bilecik, Eskişehir, Manisa, Bursa (Uludağ - Soğukpinar), Afyon (Sultan Dağlari), Konya (Akşehir) - Turkey;

ssp. obscura (Staudinger, 1878) - Içel (Tekir, Elmah, Boğazi), Antalya (Akseki & Irmasan Geçidi), Konya, Adana (N Saimbeyli) - Turkey;

ssp. neglecta (Gross, 1978) - Turkey;

ssp. nesrin (Koçak, 1989) - Turkey.
