Pseudochazara panjshira Wyatt et Omoto, 1966
Type locality: "Dasht-i-Riwat, lower Panjshir Valley, 2200 m" [Hindu Kush, Afghanistan].
Range: From Kopet-Dagh to Hindu Kush and Alai.
Habitat: Dry stony slopes at 1,500-3,500 mtrs
Flight Period: July to August.
Subspecies:
ssp. badachshana Wyatt et Omoto, 1966 - Alai, the Pamirs;
ssp. kopetdaghi Dubatolov, 1989 – Kopet-Dagh;
ssp. panjshira Wyatt et Omoto, 1966 – Dasht-i-Riwat, lower Panjshir Valley at 2,200 mtrs. – Afghanistan.
Note: ssp. badachshana Wyatt & Omoto, 1966 – was indicated in the Cadastre (Vol. 3, 1996; p. 228), but later (TOROPOV & ZHDANKO 2006; p. 264) excluded from Kyrgyz fauna (owing to absence of any samples of P. panjshira with the exception of three known loci for P. panjshira ssp. alaina Bogdanov, 2001 in northern piedmonts of Alai Mts.). This species was re-discovered (confirmed) in Kyrgyzstan and Inner Alai: nr. Daraut-Korgon which falls within the Pamir-Alai Transboundary Conservancy Area - Kyrgyzstan (PATCA-KG) area. (in FDF-0804-9 this species was erroneously listed as P. turkestana esquilinus).
