Pseudochazara turkestana (Grum-Grshimailo, 1893)
Type locality: "...in montibus Turkestaniae et in Tian-schan orientali" [Tian-Shan].
Range: From Afghanistan through the mountains of Middle Asia to the SW. Altai.
Habitat: Dry stony habitats at 1,600-3,800 mtrs.
Flight Period: June to August.
Subspecies:
ssp. esquilinus (Fruhstorfer, 1911) – Alai;
ssp. sagina (Ruhl, [1894]) – Tajikistan, Ghissar, S. Ghissar, Darvaz, the W. Pamirs;
ssp. tarbagata (Staudinger, 1901) – Dzhungarsky Alatau, Saur and Tarbagatai, Kazakhstan, the SW. Altai;
ssp. turkestana (Grum-Grshimailo, 1893) – Afghanistan, Tian-Shan, Kyrgyzstan, SW Altai.
ssp. wakhilkhani Wyatt & Omoto, 1966 - Afghanistan, NE Hindu Kush mountains, Bala-Quran
Note: Pseudochazara turkestana (Grum-Grshimailo, 1893) ssp. esquilinus (Fruhstorfer, 1911) – almost the whole Pamir-Alai Transboundary Conservancy Area - Kyrgyzstan (PATCA-KG) area with the exception of central part of northern slope of Trans-Alai Mt.R. (different sources, including many FDFs), also Altyn-Mazar (DMd, 2004).
